Description (Service)

Provide compassionate supportive care for dying people and their families, living in the Almaguin area.

Services include:

psychosocial support from trained volunteers
act as advocates, friends, supporters and confidants to individuals and their families
friendly visiting
respite/relief care for primary care givers
writing letters and reading aloud
companionship
telephone support and teleconferencing
grief support and bereavement follow-up.

Hours	Mon-Fri 8:30 am-11 am, 12 noon-4:30 pm
Areas Served	Parry Sound District ; East Parry Sound area
Boundaries	Novar to South River, Ahmic Harbour to Sand Lake
Eligibility	Individuals with a life threatening illness and their family members or caregivers Must meet Residency Requirements: Novar to South River, Ahmic Harbour to Sand Lake
