Description (Service) | Services focused on helping the child or youth with a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder and their families learn and build skills * services can be received directly through the regional service provider or families can receive funding to work with another service provider Family Services and Training -- enrolled families receive information and training within their community * may include workshops, seminars, consultations and information about autism spectrum disorders, and Ontario Autism Program Evidence Based Behavioural Services -- assist with social skills and functional skills development * works to discourage challenging behaviours * also works with families to help support their child's development * clinical assessment and individualized services Family Support Worker -- assigned to families upon enrolment in program * develops Family Service Plan to help ensure services are goal-centred * support and information for families |
